One day or day one?

“So a world divided into writes and write-nots is more dangerous than it sounds. It will be a world of thinks and think-nots. I know which half I want to be in, and I bet you do too.” - Paul Graham

About an hour ago, I decided to write my first mini-essay tonight.

This idea of writing essays has been brewing on my mind for a little while now. I noticed during weeks where I spent more time/effort than usual writing for whatever reason, I seemed to think noticeably clearer. Additionally, I realized almost all the clearest thinkers I know spend an above average amount of time writing and regularly advocate for its importance in clear thinking and communication. This creates a pretty compelling case to develop a writing habit.

It just seems to me that writing is too crucial an opportunity to pass up. Simply by setting aside a few hours each week to write, you can make material improvements to your thinking and communication as well as maybe even come up with a few good ideas.

Thus the journey begins.
